SLOWLY BECOMING A NICE LOOKING BUILDING

Reminds me of when I was building. I too took my time and built when I had the money to do so. Ed Ringle is a builder with a budget, same as us. He made some enemies when he closed the Exchange Club and the Burro and people lost their jobs. These were places where we could gather and talk; as well as eat. A lot of people, who have since had to move away, don’t like him. He is an investor and they don’t think like us common folk. While we consider what we do and how it affects others; an investor doesn’t. He thinks about costs and profits. This doesn’t make them likeable, but shouldn’t incur our dislike. When you dislike someone because you think they are better off than you, it makes you poor in spirit as well as in things.

Hello, I am writting to tell you of a nice experience my family and I had at a local sandwich shop.  My family and I had journeyed to rhyolite for the day from Las Vegas. After a really long day we began heading home. We were so glad to come across a little place called kc's outpost on our travels home.  We were all exhuasted and were releived to find the place was comfortable and the staff more than hospitable. While we were anticipating a normal sandwich shop experience like would normally here in Vegas, we were supprised and almost shocked when we took our first bites. Never have we had better sandwiches. The bread was the freshest we have ever had. The meatballs were scrumptious and my turkey sandwich was defilitly one that I have told my friends about. I have actually sent 3 of my friends all the way out there to sample their delicous food. We WILL be traveling back your way for more of these rediculously good sandwiches and maybe, if there's time well head back to rhyolite. ;)Thank you for listening to my story As a manager of a large corporation here in Vegas, I strive to see to it that those who deserve recognition recieve it.Tye Prince 702.521.4060 Ps if you print my letter, would you please be so kind as to email a copy of it to me?  Thank you so much in advance.Sent from my iPhone

BOCC

The Board of County Commissioners had a meeting on Tuesday the 16th. The agenda item that most interested me was the one to adopt new laws affecting pets. They want to place restrictions on the number of pets we can have and how they are to be treated. You all know that I am an animal lover. My boyz are spoiled and that’s the way I want it. I do break some laws (for instance; I left them in the truck for two hours while the meeting was going on. I understand that there is a law against that). I drive around with them hanging out the windows and if I had to swerve, I don’t like to think of what would happen. But, I do not mistreat them, starve them, overwork them, match them with other dogs and fight them. If I had my way, this would be a “dog town”. Nobody complains about cats running loose and they catch and torture small game animals.

I believe that when animals are being mistreated they should be taken away from their owners and their owners prosecuted. But, enacting more laws to protect animals, will not work. There are laws now to do that but there are not enough animal control officers to enforce them. There are laws to protect children from abuse, but they are still being abused. There are laws to protect us from mistreating each other, but it still happens. See next week for more!

When you see any abuse, whether it is to humans or to animals, it is your duty to report it. You will find, however, that it will still happen. Laws do not make people moral or responsible, neither does enforcement. (If they did, we wouldn’t have to keep building jails, which we do)

I’m certain that the “Animal Rights activist’s” will be upset at reading this but, it is true never the less. An example from the past: the large company I worked for had an employee lose control of a company vehicle and drive off the road. His excuse was that he had his arm resting on the door and a bee stung him. The company’s response was to make it against the rules to drive with an arm outside of the vehicle.
