Your editorial about the garbage being sold through Wal-Mart is right on point.  I just bought a device designed to let me connect my pickup to a trailer without assistance.  I took it out of the container, extended it one time to see how it worked.  I went to put it away and the mast of this cheap piece of crap just folded in two, making it worthless.  The six year old Chinese girls must increase their quality control.  You can bet I’ll be returning it for a full refund.  I may "mcguiver" my own but will never buy another of these.

the e-mail claiming to document the arrogance of the power company is probably done "tongue in cheek" but it is altogether true that American government officials and businessmen are arrogant in their dealing with the public.  I submitted a claim for VA benefits years ago when i was notified that i am an Agent Orange survivor.  After more than three years of being stonewalled, i received a letter from the new (Obama) administration which said that if i had problems with the VA, i should call the 800 number given in this letter.  I did so and was referred to the va/ig (inspector general) office.  I called that number and spoke to a most pleasant young lady who said she needed to refer me back to the regional office in Reno.  I said that was who had caused this problem and didn't want to speak to them again.  She stated that she was sorry but her training is to refer me back to the regional office where they can run me around in circles until i die.  I asked for her name and she hung up. Re-elect nobody until this government changes.  Bye-bye searchlight harry please. OPEN LETTER TO JIM MOORE

I understand that the Nachur Conservancy has received a generous donation from Ed Ringale. I am sure that the donation is appreciated: has it occurred, to you, that he did this so that you will have to clean up what he has been dumping in the river bed? Don’t tell me you haven’t seen his dump site north of the Stagecoach. How do I know it is his? There are palm fronds in the piles and he is the only one who can afford palm trees. I saw the “frog people” cleaning up the river a few years ago and I wonder how they feel about him dumping where they spent so much time and hard work cleaning up. Now we can see that their efforts are misguided as that  is where he has been dumping lately. (Ed. I found this letter in the “News” box in front of my house. I don’t know how long it had been there or who wrote it) See photo below.

BTAB MEETING

Wednesday the 10th, was the Town meeting. The items discussed were to purchase new miks and if the Town should join with the Girls Club to share signs at the Town entrance. Unfortunately, those were the high points of the meeting. Without Mike Lasorsa there, Theresa Sullivan had no one to jab at and give me something to write about. I may have to start attending other meetings for juicy news.

I AM ASSUMING THIS IS THE TRASH MY ANONYMOUS LETTER WRITER WAS TALKING ABOUT. IT’S BEEN THERE QUITE A WHILE (Ed)
