BEATTY GET’S A HO HOUSE!!

I MADE THE HORRIBLE DRIVE TO Pahrump just to hear whether Nye County Licensing and Liquor Board would grant a Brothel permit to Arie Mac Moore (Angels Ranch). The permit was granted conditionally. Mac, according to the Sheriffs Office, was unable or unwilling to provide them with the information needed for his application approval. According to Lt. Jeff Grimaud, Mac failed to file some income tax returns, was arrested in Oregon for soliciting, and his financials are mixed between his business and his personal records. Mac denied all these charges and the Sheriff did say that there is no evidentiary proof of these charges.

The BCC granted the Permit under the following conditions; 1. An annual audit performed by a CPA and paid for by Mac. 2. Produce all records of all businesses. 3. Produce all personal records. 4. Allow an audit at any time it is requested. 5. Provide a file of all tax records. The permit will be granted after Mac signs the conditional order.

 JOKES OF THE WEEK

Three old guys are out walking. First one says, 'Windy, isn't it?' Second one says, 'No, it's Thursday!' Third one says, 'So am I. Let's go get a beer.'

A man was telling his neighbor, 'I just bought a new hearing aid. It cost me four thousand dollars, but its state of the art. It's perfect.' 'Really,' answered the neighbor. 'What kind is it?' 'It’s twelve thirty.'

RESTAURANT REVIEW

I had dinner with friends Friday night at K-7 Pizza. I had the Heartburn with jalapeno’s and anchovies. I can say, without equivocation, that it was the best pizza I have ever had. I’m gonna  have the leftovers for lunch. K-7 is located at the south end of Pahrump off the 160. at ManseRd. 6050 E Thousandaire Blvd. Believe me, the drive is worth it!

 COMMUNITY

If you are as observant, as some of my readers, you will have noticed the work on the cattle guard and the road into the property next to Angels. Someone (?) is building a house there. (Wow! Right next to a whore House. How convenient. If it were me, I would probably forget what I walked over for.

( ED. I forgot to mention in last weeks “News”, that  NDOT will widen the sidewalk at the bridge)

Ray Williams, Beatty Water Board Manager, was terminated for cause on Friday the 16th

TOWN MEETING

I was hoping we could have a meeting without rancor but it didn’t happen. I guess that when people get together there will be disagreements. That’s OK. That is why we have meetings, but these two people (unnamed) going at each other for no reason except for their own enjoyment is not growth it is embarrassing. I can only hope that the elections will change this.

Kay Handy (member) and Joannie Jarvis asked for and got a resolution to honor and present a Good Citizen Award. This will be a quarterly award.

The Board also passed a resolution to allow the surveying of the graveyard.

The new park light look good. But just adding walkways to the picknick tables don't make them ADA complient you still need complient tables. And to Stick if this is your real name? You say they have the best workers and board and big improvements. You need to have your eyes checked because the grass look worse than it has in past years. I have spent a lot of time in Beatty over the past several years and this is the worst the grass at the park has looked in a long time. And the grass at the ballfield is a disgrace. I don't know who was taking care of theese fields in the past but it looked better when they were doing it. And in the past ther was one fulltime and for a wile a partime person that seemes to have gotten the jobs done. Now they

have 2 full time employees and they cant seem to finish any jobs. They started painting the pool in the spring and it is still not done. Come on lets see at least one job finished this year. I have also noticed that one of the board members has painted their shed the same color as the park buildings. Could this be misuse of BGID equiptment? And back to Stick u say nobody knows me, the people who i want to know know me. What have u had your LAW DOG buddies run a check on me or something?  With the way some people in this town are i would rather assoate with my few friends witch is a better class of people than a lot of people like you and your friends. Now i want to think the person who complained about KC'S music. I am def so i cannot hear it but my friends i stay with let me know how bad and loud it is so thing u for your complaint. KC'S stop making that damm noise.                                   Bob Redland
