EMAIL Charlie Could you please put a call to action in your paper for me. This is from me, even though I am at the chamber computer, so please note that this IS NOT FROM THE CHAMBER. I am sure that they would not balk at this, but I am not taking time to ask for authorization. On the matter of Pahrump Valley pairing with the new administration of Death Valley: We, as a community, NEED to write to the New Superintendant and Protest such an action. Beatty has used the title of Gateway to Death Valley for around 70 years or perhaps even more, but in recent years Pahrump has been trying to steal the title from us. (Ed. This is the name and address of the Park Superintendant) Sarah L.
Craighead, Death Valley National Park Also, PLEASE do not put my
name in the paper, just call me a Beatty Resident. Mr. Cook, Here is the short information on our
front office/medical assistant: Nevada Health Centers is looking for a part
time person to work front and back office, in both Beatty and Amargosa.
Experience as a Medical Assistant in a family practice setting preferred but we
will train the right person. Good customer service skills and computer
skills a must. Contact Michele Rook in Amargosa at 775-372-5432 or Robin
Scarborough in Beatty at 775-553-2208 for an application and more information. Liliam
Shell, Regional Operations Director, Nevada Health CHARLIE,
I'M FINALLY HEARD ENOUGH OF THE PETTY SQUABBLING THAT I HAVE TO SAY SOMETHING.
FIRST: CONGRATS TO KIETH KEARNS FOR DONATING TO THE LITTLE
LEAGUE
!! SECOND: THIS COMMUNITY IS THE BIGGEST GROUP OF "
DO LITTLE / BITCH ALOTS" I HAVE EVER MET IN MY LIFE !! I WILL NOT NAME
NAMES, THEY WILL KNOW WHO THEY ARE. WHY IS THIS COMMUNITY SO SCREWED UP WHEN IT
COMES TO DEALING WITH THEIR KIDS? THERE IS NO SUPPORT 0 NONE NAUGHTA. WHY? WE HAVE
A FIRE DEPARTMENT THAT SHOULD HAVE THEIR BBQ GRILL DOWN AT ONE OF THE
LOCAL BUSINESSES TO RAISE MONEY FOR LITTLE LEAGUE, OR MAYBE THE SOFTBALL
TEAM OR HOW ABOUT THE KIDS THAT WOULD LIKE TO GO ON THE SCHOOL TRIP TO
WASHINGTON D.C. WHERE ARE THE OFFICERS FROM THE SHERIFFS DEPT. COULDN'T YOU BE
DOWN HOLDING A CAR WASH TO SUPPORT THE KIDS? HOW ABOUT THIS THE COPS
AGAINST THE FIRE DEPT. IN A BASKETBALL GAME AT THE HIGH SCHOOL YOU
KNOW "GUNS-N-HOSES" ALL PROCEEDS GO TO THE TRACK TEAM OR ? WHAT EVER
HAPPENED TO THE GOOD OLD BAKE SALE BY ALL THE MOMS IN THE TOWN? DO THEY EVEN
KNOW HOW TO BAKE ANYMORE? YOU KNOW ITS FUNNY HOW EVERYONE CAN GET TOGETHER WHEN
SOMEONES HOUSE BURNS DOWN OR WHEN SOMEONE PASSES AWAY TO HELP WITH FUNERAL
EXPENSES, WHY DOES IT TAKE A TRAGEDY TO BRING PEOPLE TOGETHER. WHAT THE HELL IS
THE MATTER WITH ALL OF YOU !! ITS TIME TO PUT ALL THE B.S. TO REST
AND START ACTING LIKE A COMMUNITY INSTEAD OF A BUNCH OF #@%&(*! THERE ARE NO PERSONAL
AGENDAS HERE ITS ABOUT THE CHILDREN !! IT’S ABOUT THEIR FUTURE!! DON'T SCREW IT
UP FOR THE KIDS JUST BECAUSE A FEW OF YOU STILL MUST ACT LIKE ONE!! LET’S ALL
GROW UP AND GET WITH THE
PROGRAM!! ERIC MACIASZEK Mark Halloway and friend (note the carrot in Marks hand)

BTAB
MEETING WEDNESDAY MAY 27th BERT
BERTRAM CLAIMED THAT, “ERIKA WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SELL ANY FIRE EXTINGUISHERS!” Kay Handy said, at the BTAB meeting, “I have, personally, bought many pizzas and cookies to support the Little League. It doesn’t matter what they are selling, the Town will buy it and show their support. Bert wanted to designate $100,000
to hire an engineer (S) to design a park (rest area) that the town wants. Renie
objected to spending that much money. Bert tried, unsuccessfully, to explain
that he was not saying that they would commit to spending the whole amount, but
that this would get the ball rolling on a project that has been in limbo for
four years. Renie thinks that a rest stop is more desirable than a park (after
all; we have a park already) Theresa Sullivan wants a design without spending
any money. I believe Bert’s idea has merit. Spend the money to design a plan so this “Park” can get started. CLASSIFIED ADVERTISING
